Fund Development Project Consultant

Robert Swaney Consulting (RSC) seeks qualified candidates for the position of Fund Development Project Consultant (FDPC). Reporting to the Founder and CEO of RSC, the FDPC acts as a fundraising project director and coach for a variety of arts / cultural clients throughout specific regions of the United States. The FDPC will have responsibilities for identifying, cultivating and servicing clients for a variety of projects related to contributed revenue growth.

Ideal Candidate

RSC is seeking candidates who have solid track records in fundraising for arts or cultural organizations and/or arts and cultural fundraising consulting. Expertise should include many areas of fund development including annual fund, capital/endowment/planned giving, sponsorship, strategic planning, board development, and budget development/management. A minimum of five years in upper or senior management related to arts or cultural fundraising is essential. Comprehensive knowledge of arts-related software products is a must.

Essential proficiencies include high-level analytical skills, written and oral communication skills, high levels of self-confidence, a commitment to excellence and a desire to provide expertise and support that will result in superior contributed financial results toRSC clients in the national arts and cultural community.

Candidates must also have demonstrable peer relationships within said industries. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits

RSC compensates per project and provides financial bonuses for client acquisition. Frequent travel is often required but RSC works with each team member to develop a client load and target region that best meets each consultant’s needs.
